Unsatisfied with my improv troupe's relationship with our alumni, college and professional troupes, and the campus community, I decided to lead my team in the creation of CMU's first improv comedy festival.
Hosting a festival is an activity with immense scope, translating to many moving parts and stakeholders. Utilizing my knowledge of service design, I was able to lead my troupe in a roleplay activity wherein each person acts as one of our major stakeholders, communicating their thoughts and feelings over the course of the 48-hour experience. The activity was invaluable for discovering potential pain points that we weren't able to see from a macro perspective.
As a member of the publicity team, I was tasked with the unique challenge of publicizing an event with which the average person is unfamiliar.
The event has yet to happen, so stay tuned for a more detailed discussion of this project after March 3rd.
